Privacy Policy for RangeReady
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 9/20/2025
Data Storage Principles
Local First: Firearm records, ammo inventory, maintenance logs, photos, and notes you enter into the app are stored only on your device.
No Accounts: RangeReady does not require login, registration, or any form of authentication.
No Servers: We do not host or preserve your user-entered data on any servers. The only copies of your firearm, ammo, and session records are on your device, unless you choose to back them up or export them (CSV, HTML, PDF, or optional cloud backup if subscribed).
Data We Collect
The only information we collect automatically is Usage Data for diagnostics and performance. This includes:
Device type (e.g., iPhone, iPad, Mac)
Operating system version
App version
Basic app interaction information (e.g., which screens were opened, time spent)
Crash and performance diagnostics
👉 Importantly:
We do not collect names, emails, accounts, firearm data, or any other personally identifying information.
Usage Data is not linked to you as an individual. It is aggregated and anonymous because the app has no login system and no user identifiers.
How We Use Usage Data
To monitor app performance and stability
To detect crashes and technical issues
To improve RangeReady’s usability and reliability
To understand general trends in app usage
We do not sell, rent, or share this data with advertisers.
Data Transfers
In some cases, Usage Data may be processed by trusted third-party analytics or crash reporting providers (for example, Apple or Firebase). These providers may process data on servers outside your state or country. This does not include your firearm, ammo, or session logs, which never leave your device unless you export them yourself.
Disclosure of Data
Legal Requirements: We will only disclose Usage Data if required by law (e.g., a valid court order or legal process). Usage Data does not include any firearm, ammo, or session records. It is limited to technical diagnostics (such as app version, device type, crash logs), and while it may contain a randomly generated identifier, this identifier is not linked to your identity.
No Voluntary Sharing: We do not voluntarily provide any user data to law enforcement or government agencies.
Business Transfers: In the event of a company merger or acquisition, only aggregated, non-identifiable Usage Data may be transferred—never your firearm, ammo, or session records.
Data Retention
Usage Data is retained only as long as necessary for diagnostics and performance improvement.
Local data (firearm records, ammo inventory, etc.) remains under your control on your device. If you delete the app, that data is removed from your device.
Your Rights
You control your data. You may:
Export or back up your firearm and ammo logs at any time.
Delete the app to remove all locally stored data.
Request deletion of any diagnostic data we may hold by contacting us at: [insert email address]
Children’s Privacy
RangeReady is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect or process data from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted within the app with a revised “Last updated” date.
