RangeReady Is Now Available on Android

A few months ago, I shared RangeReady — a simple app built to log ammo, firearm round count, practice, and maintenance. Since then, one of the most common requests has been an Android version.

It's here. RangeReady is now available on Android via the Play Store.

Who RangeReady Is For

If you go to the range regularly, there's a good chance you're tracking round counts in a spreadsheet, notes app, or (more often than we'd like to admit) in your head. That works — until it doesn't.

Round counts matter most when it comes to maintenance. Recoil springs, for example, are often recommended to be replaced every ~2,500–5,000 rounds. Missing that window usually shows up at the worst possible time.

RangeReady is built for people who want a simple, reliable way to track usage and stay ahead of maintenance without overthinking it.

How It Works

  • Add the ammo you have and the firearms you use
  • Log your range sessions (with multiple firearms and ammo types per session)
  • Ammo inventory and firearm round counts update automatically
  • Reaching a round count or time interval triggers maintenance reminders

That's it. No unnecessary complexity.

Still Privacy-First

Just like the iOS version, the Android app:

  • Requires no account
  • Stores data locally by default
  • Offers optional cloud sync for subscribers (off by default)

Your data stays yours.

Android Status and Feedback

The Android version is intentionally a bit more focused than iOS for now. There's no planned practice or drill library yet, and maintenance schedules are currently limited to standard recommendations (custom schedules are coming).

This was a deliberate choice. Rather than guessing which features matter most, I want to see how people actually use the app and what they ask for.

Feedback and feature requests are always welcome, and they directly shape what gets built next.
